Signs, signs, everywhere a sign....... (yes, my classic vinyl years are showing.) (Signs: Five man Electrical Band 1970).
I’ve always felt uneasy about the waste that comes with campaign yard signs scattered all over the community. But I found a way to stay committed to reducing, reusing, and recycling while still using my signs to reach you. Yes, the signs cost a little more, but it’s important to live up to our community values. That’s why I’m donating the signs to Child Creativity Lab, a local non-profit that shares these values—and then some.Child Creativity Lab provides STEAM (STEM + Art) education to kids across Orange County using upcycled materials through their Makerspace-On-Wheels and Depot for Creative Reuse. They also offer workshops, resources, and volunteer opportunities for anyone who wants to get involved.
After the election, please hang onto your signs so our volunteers can collect them and donate them to Child Creativity Lab for reuse. Together, we’ll reduce waste and support educational opportunities for kids in our community.
By the way, more signs are coming soon! If you’d like one for your yard, let me know—every sign .helps spread the word and helps our kids.
And here’s a tip: scan the QR code on the yard signs or visit RemnetForRossmoor-CSD.com to stay updated on my work, our upcoming community (or campaign) events, and where you can find me—I’d love to meet you
